For mobile mechanics & home shops
Some jobs don't fit
in a driveway.
Rent a bay with a professional 12,000 or 14,000 lb lift right on McHenry Ave. Air, power and the workspace are yours for the slot. Slots from $45.
Call and we'll get you on the schedule. Requests get a callback the same business day.
Three steps and you're under the car.
No membership, no class to sit through, no one hovering over your shoulder. You book the bay, we hand you the keys to it.

Saturdays run 9 to 2: a pitstop at 9:00 and a half day from 10:00 to 2:00. Multi-day projects are quoted at eight hours a day, and we stop the clock when you leave for the night.
What's included, and what isn't.
You bring your tools, we supply everything around them. A few items are billed separately, and we'll always tell you what something costs before you commit to it.
In the rate
- Lifts rated 12,000 and 14,000 lb
- Compressed air and power at the bay
- The bay and the workspace to yourself
- Two bays, so you’re not waiting on someone else
Billed separately
-
Flat $10 whenever you change fluids in the bay. Covers the drain pans, the funnels and getting rid of what comes out.
-
We keep specialty tools and diagnostic gear on hand. Tell us what the job needs when you book and we’ll confirm we have it and what it costs before you drive over.
-
Available on request. Ask when you book and we’ll quote it.
Bring your tools and your parts. Hand tools aren't supplied and we don't stock or source parts, so have everything on hand before your slot starts.
Request a bayKnow before you go.
Two things worth two minutes of your time before you book: what we ask of you in the shop, and the jobs we can't take. Better to find out here than in our parking lot.
House rules
Short list, all of it about keeping people in one piece.
- 18 and over to rent a bay
- Closed-toe shoes required
- Arrive 15 minutes early
What we don't do
Four jobs we can't take. Check this before you load the car.
- No assisted repair
- No alignment or tire balancing
- No stereo or audio installation
Questions, answered.
The ones we get most often. If yours isn't here, call and ask — we'd rather tell you now than have you find out in the parking lot.
-
Yes. Plenty of our customers are mobile mechanics and home-shop guys doing paid work, and we don't ask for proof of insurance to rent you a bay. If the job needs a lift and a proper floor, that's exactly what this place is for.
-
No. You need to be 18 and able to do the work. We rent you the bay, the lift and the tools. What you do with them is yours.
-
If a bay is free, come on in. Booking a slot is the only way to guarantee one, and with two bays and back-to-back slots we do fill up. Call first and we'll tell you straight whether it's worth the drive.
-
Your tools, your parts and your fluids. Hand tools aren't supplied here, since most of our customers carry their own. What you get from us is the bay, the lift, air, power and the room to work. Specialty equipment is available for an additional fee, so ask when you book.
-
Yes, one other person. Two per bay is the limit. They need to be 18 or older and they sign the same waiver you do.
-
Tell us as early as you can. If the slot behind you is open we'll sell it to you on the spot. If it isn't, we'll get you back in another day rather than rushing you through the end of a job.
-
It depends on the project and what's booked behind you, so it's a conversation rather than a policy. Raise it when you book and we'll work it out.
-
We'll talk you through it and point you at what we'd do, but we don't turn wrenches on your vehicle. This is a self-service shop, not a repair shop.
-
We take a card to hold your slot and charge nothing up front. Cancel 24 hours ahead and there's no cost. Cancel later or don't show and it's a $45 fee, which is one hour of bay time. We hold your bay 20 minutes past your start before offering it to someone else.

This isn't an instant booking. Send it over and we'll call you the same business day to confirm the bay and the time. In a hurry? Call (209) 567-2330 and we'll sort it out on the phone.
Request received.
We'll call you the same business day to confirm the bay and lock in a time. Anything that comes in after closing or on a Sunday gets a call the next business day.
